A new Categories section in the editor — and product ids that belong to each store
If you run more than one BigCommerce store, the first change here matters most. If you assign a lot of categories, the second will save you time every day.
Each BigCommerce store gets its own product id
BigCommerce gives each store its own product ids. Fulify already handled this for brands and categories; now it does the same for products. When you sync a product to your second store, Fulify uses the id that store issued, not the first store's.
Existing products have been linked to the right id on each store. You don't need to do anything.
Categories gets its own section
Assigning categories now has its own section in the product editor, with two panes side by side: what's assigned and what you can assign.
- The full tree is back, so you can browse categories in place rather than search for them.
- Categories that aren't on this product's channels are greyed out, so you can see before you sync which ones won't go anywhere. The greyed-out rule matches what the sync actually does.
- Same name, different place? When two categories share a name, Fulify adds the parent so you can tell "Mens › Shirts" from "Womens › Shirts".
- Assigned categories show as chips, and you can expand a chip to see its full path.
- A bar at the top of the tree shows which branch you're in as you scroll down a long list.
Sync goes to an assigned channel, and says which
Pressing Sync on the main product record now syncs to a channel the product is actually assigned to, and tells you which one.
Smaller things
- A broken category image no longer stops the whole Shopify collection from syncing. The collection syncs, and the image problem is reported on its own.
- The error page now looks like the rest of Fulify.
