Linnworks: the right barcode on every variant, and the option to send your brand
Several changes to how products and their variants arrive in Linnworks. You'll find the settings in Settings → Apps → Linnworks.
Each variant gets its own barcode
Variants used to be sent with the product's barcode, so every size of a shirt could scan as the same item. Each variant now gets only its own barcode. Where a product or variant has both a GTIN and a UPC, the GTIN is sent.
What to do: if variants in Linnworks already carry the product's barcode, give each variant its own barcode in Fulify and sync it, or correct it in Linnworks.
Variant images are your choice
Each variant is its own stock item in Linnworks, so a variant with no images would have no picture. A new setting, Variants without images use the product images, controls whether those variants get the product's images. It's on by default and only applies when Write images is on.
Variants without options are their own stock items
Some catalogs have variants with their own SKUs but no options such as size or colour. Those used to arrive in Linnworks as a single item under the product's SKU. Each one now goes as its own stock item.
Send the brand
A new Write brand setting sends the product's brand to Linnworks as a "Brand" extended property on each stock item. It's off by default. A product with no brand leaves any existing value alone.
Deleted in Linnworks? Fulify puts it back
If a stock item was deleted in Linnworks, every later sync of that product used to fail. Fulify now notices and creates the item again.
A tidier Linnworks page
On the Linnworks app page, the Settings buttons now sit above the sync cards, and the list of products not yet in Linnworks starts collapsed and can be searched.
