One Save for the product editor

v4.0.196 – 4.0.204ImprovedFixed

The product editor used to have three different ideas of what "saved" meant. Most fields waited for you to press a button. Options & Variants had its own button. Attributes saved themselves a second and a half after you stopped typing. And a copy of everything was kept in your browser as a draft. It was easy to think you'd saved something you hadn't, or to save something you didn't mean to.

One save bar, for everything

There is now one save bar at the foot of the page. It appears as soon as you change anything — product fields, options and variants, attributes — and shows how many changes are waiting. Press Save and they're all saved together. Nothing is saved until you do.

If you try to leave with unsaved changes, by any route including the main navigation, Fulify asks first.

Attributes no longer save on their own. If you're used to typing an attribute and moving on, press Save before you leave.

A problem on one channel doesn't cancel the other

If a product is going to both BigCommerce and Shopify and BigCommerce refuses it, the Shopify sync now carries on. Previously one channel's refusal could stop a healthy sync to the other.

Smaller things

  • Prices look like prices. Base price now shows two decimal places like the other price fields, and prices are formatted when you leave the field.
  • The right advice when a category is missing. When a channel refuses a product because a category isn't on that store, the message now tells you to assign the category to the channel, not to sync it.
  • The sync icon in the product list spins while a sync is running, and the product's sync status reflects every channel it's on.
