Sync goes only where you've assigned it, URLs stay put, and stock tracking fits the product
A release about Fulify doing what you told it and nothing more. Several of these change behaviour you may have worked around, so the "what to do" notes are worth a read.
Your channel assignments are yours
Sync goes only to the channels a product is assigned to. It used to be possible for a sync to reach a store the product wasn't assigned to. Sync now goes only where you've assigned the product, and runs the same readiness check as Add to channel first.
Fulify no longer changes which BigCommerce channels a product is listed on. Each sync used to put the product back on your BigCommerce storefront and take it off the store's other channels, such as a Facebook catalog. Now Fulify only sets that up when it first creates the product on BigCommerce. After that, what you choose in BigCommerce stays.
What to do: if products dropped off a connected BigCommerce channel, such as Facebook, add them back in BigCommerce. Fulify won't take them off again.
Re-adding a store reconnects it. Connecting a store you've connected before now reconnects its existing channel, with its assignments and history, instead of creating a second copy.
Renaming keeps the URL
Renaming a live product, category or brand used to give it a new URL, so links to the old address stopped working. An existing record now keeps its URL when you rename it. New records still get a URL from their name.
If you want a new URL, edit the URL field yourself.
Channel Sync off isn't an error
If you turn Channel Sync off for a product, it now shows as Not synced, not Error. A product Fulify refused to sync keeps its last real status instead of having it overwritten. The switch's description now says what it actually does: it controls every sync of that product to your sales channels, not only syncing when you save. Messages that mention a switch now name the right one.
Stock tracking that fits the product
Fulify never sends stock levels to your channels, but it does send how stock is tracked — for the product as a whole, or by variant. If a product with sizes is tracked as a whole, a size can sell out in your order management system and stay on sale.
- The editor now warns you, beside Inventory Tracking, when the tracking doesn't suit the product, and offers a one-click switch.
- The Inventory filter has a new value, Doesn't Match Variants, to find every product that needs it.
- Variants that have their own SKU but no options now count as real variants for this check.
Brands and categories follow Fulify
If you renamed a brand or category directly in BigCommerce, Fulify used to refuse to change it back. It now updates brands and categories from Fulify the same way it updates products, so a sync makes the store match Fulify.
Saving right after switching organisation is safe
For a short time after you switch organisation, the page and Fulify could briefly disagree about which one you're working in. Fulify now notices and blocks the save, asking you to Reload the page or pick the organisation again.
Emails for big exports arrive
Background exports email you a download link when they're ready. Those emails weren't being delivered; they are now. Your files were always available under Recent exports on the Export page.
Smaller things
- Duplicate SKU errors name the culprit. When BigCommerce refuses a SKU as a duplicate, Fulify now tells you which product or variant already holds it.
- Sync Channel updates simple Shopify products properly. Syncing a single Shopify channel now updates the price, SKU and weight of a product without variants. It used to report success without updating them.
- Text colour and highlight are kept in descriptions again.
- Anyone in the organisation can open, edit or delete any selection guide, not only the person who created it.
- Pages no longer shift sideways when a scrollbar appears.
- Fulify has proper icons for browser tabs, bookmarks and phone home screens.
