Delete or archive a product
Getting a product off your storefront isn't always the same as deleting it. Fulify gives you three related but different actions, so pick the one that matches what you want.
| You want to | Do this | The product in Fulify | The product on the channel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stop selling it for now | Hide it | Kept | Hidden after the next sync |
| Sell it on some stores but not others | Remove it from a channel | Kept | Left in place, no longer updated |
| Get rid of it completely | Delete it | Removed | Hidden (archived) |
Hide a product
To take a product off your storefront without losing it, turn Show on Storefront off in the product editor, or turn off the Storefront switch in its row on the Products list. For many products, select them and click Hidden in the bulk bar. Then sync so the change reaches your channels.
- The product stays in Fulify with all its data.
- Customers can no longer see it in your store.
- It's fully reversible: turn the switch back on and sync.
Remove a product from a channel
Removing a product from one channel detaches it from that channel in Fulify, including any values you overrode for that channel. The product stays in Fulify and on your other channels.
- On the Products list, select the product (or several) and click Channel in the bulk bar.
- In Channel & App Assignments, switch the channel off.
Removing a product from a channel doesn't delete it from that store. If you also want it gone from the store's front end, hide it and sync before you remove it. See How channels work.
Delete a product
- On the Products list, click the product's Delete action.
- Confirm in the Delete Product dialog.
- If the product is synced to channels, a second dialog, Product Synced to Channels, explains that deleting it will hide (archive) it on those channels, so order history and URLs are preserved, and remove it from Fulify. Click Delete Anyway to go ahead.
To delete several products, select them and click Delete in the bulk bar, then confirm. Synced products in a bulk delete are archived on their channels in the same way, without the second dialog.
The summary tiles and counts on the Products list update straight away.
