Variant options
Variant options are the building blocks for product variants. You define option types (like Color or Size) and their values (like Red or Small). The product editor then uses them in Options & Variants to generate a product's variants. Each value can carry a SKU suffix that's added to the product SKU to build each variant's SKU.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Variant Options, or open /settings/variant-options.
Choose the variant SKU separator
The Variant SKUs card at the top sets how generated variant SKUs join the product SKU and each value's SKU suffix. Pick a Separator:
- Hyphen ( - ) — for example
TEE-RED-S - Tilde ( ~ ) — for example
TEE~RED~S
The change saves as soon as you pick it, and applies to variants you generate from then on. It applies to your whole organization.
Add an option type
- In Option Types, click Add Option Type.
- Fill in:
- Internal Name — the name Fulify uses internally, for example "color".
- Display Name — the shopper-facing label, for example "Color".
- Type — how shoppers pick it on the storefront: Dropdown, Swatch, Radio Buttons or Rectangle List.
- Click Create.
Option types appear in a table showing Name, Display Name, Type, a Values count, and edit and delete actions.
Add values
- Expand an option type and click Add Value.
- Fill in:
- Label — the value's name, for example "Red".
- SKU Suffix — added to build variant SKUs, for example "RD" or "S". Letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores only, up to 20 characters. Fulify converts it to uppercase.
- Sort Order — the value's position in the list.
- Swatch Color — the color to show, only for the Swatch type.
- Click Add.
Avoid duplicate SKUs
Two values that end up with the same variant SKU would create two variants with one SKU, and only one of them would reach your channel. To prevent this:
- Fulify refuses to save a value with the same name as another value on that option type. Capitals and spaces don't count as a difference.
- Values that already clash are highlighted with a Duplicate name or Same SKU ending badge. Rename one, change its SKU suffix, or delete it.
Delete options and values
Use the delete action on an option type or value. Deleting an option type also removes all of its values.
