Shipping profiles
Shipping profiles bundle your ShipperHQ settings (shipping groups, origins and dimensional rules) so you set them up once and assign them to products, instead of entering the same values on every product. Assigned profiles are sent to BigCommerce as ShipperHQ metafields the next time each product syncs.
Before you start
Shipping profiles are part of the ShipperHQ app (see ShipperHQ for how the integration works). An admin installs it from Settings → Apps. The app needs a Growth plan or higher, and no extra credentials: it uses your existing channel connection. The Shipping Profiles (ShipperHQ) card appears in Settings once the app is installed.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Shipping Profiles (ShipperHQ), or open /settings/shipping-profiles.
Create a profile
- Click New Profile.
- Fill in:
- Profile name — for example "Freight / Oversized".
- Description — optional.
- Shipping Groups — for example
pallet, freight. - Origins — for example
warehouse. - Dimensional Rules — for example
big, small.
- Click Save.
Separate multiple values with commas.
Manage profiles
Saved profiles appear as cards summarizing their groups, origins and dimensional rules. Click a profile to edit it, or use the delete icon to remove it.
Assign a profile to products
Choose a profile in the product editor's Shipping Profile (ShipperHQ) field. To assign one to many products at once, select them on the Products list and choose More → Shipping profile.
If you uninstall the ShipperHQ app, profile values stop being sent to your channels. Your profiles and their product assignments are kept, so reinstalling picks up where you left off.
